At County Line Montessori School, we created our Montessori Elementary program to meet the needs of our first group of Primary program graduates. The Elementary program provides a natural continuation of their Montessori education, allowing them to transition seamlessly from Primary to Elementary while continuing to thrive in a familiar, supportive environment. Our Elementary program serves children ages 6 to 12, with a special focus on enrolling children ages 6 to 9. This age range gives students the time and space to grow and develop within the program, ensuring a deeper connection to the Montessori approach as they build on their foundational skills.
We welcome our neighbors from Louisa, Hanover, and the surrounding areas of Central Virginia to get in touch. In our unique Montessori in the Woods setting, children enjoy hands-on learning experiences and a connection to nature that enhances both their academic and personal growth. If you’re curious about our Montessori Elementary program or have any questions, we’d love to hear from you. Together, we can continue to create an affordable and enriching learning community for families in our area.
In the Montessori Elementary program, students engage in a rich and varied curriculum designed to foster independence, creativity, and critical thinking. Activities range from hands-on math and science experiments to exploring history and geography through storytelling and research. Children work with specially designed Montessori materials that encourage self-discovery and problem-solving, allowing them to learn at their own pace while developing a deep understanding of the world around them. Language arts are integrated throughout the curriculum, with opportunities for writing, reading, and public speaking. These activities not only build academic skills but also promote social responsibility, collaboration, and a love of learning. By encouraging children to take ownership of their education and connect with real-world problems, the Montessori approach helps them become confident, self-motivated learners who are well-prepared for lifelong success.
